ABOUT LILLING HALL HANOVERIANS

Lilling Hall Hanoverians is a small, private stud based in the heart of North Yorkshire.

Our focus is on breeding quality Hanoverian dressage and sports horses with excellent conformation, soundness, longevity, and above all; kind, trainable temperaments. This is our hobby and our passion, and we breed primarily for ourselves.

As a result, we only ever have a small number of horses available. When we do sell, our horses are placed in knowledgeable, five-star homes, and we value keeping in touch with owners to follow their progress throughout their careers.

BLOODLINES & BREEDING

Our broodmares are selected from some of the best bloodlines in the world, and the same care is taken with every breeding decision we make.

We use semen from proven and exciting up-and-coming stallions from across Europe, allowing us to consistently produce foals with quality, presence, and athleticism suited to modern sport.

All reproduction work is carried out by the highly regarded team at Charlie Cooke and James Crabtree of the ERS Practice in Malton, North Yorkshire.

RAISING OUR YOUNGSTOCK

Our youngstock are never rushed.

They are well handled, polite, confident, and comfortable in our company; qualities we believe are just as important as movement and conformation.

They are carefully fed on TopSpec feeds and given the time they need to grow and mature both physically and mentally. By breeding only a small number of foals each year, we are able to spend plenty of time with them from day one.

Ava Fowler

Ava has been helping with the Breeding here at Lilling since she was 8 years old, learning about Artificial Insemination, home foaling and handling of all young stock.
Now, she also plays a major role in breaking and producing our 4 and 5 year olds.
As a result of the experience gained here she applied to the Anglo European stud book to be part of their Young Breeders team and was selected to represent Great Britain at the International Young Breeders World Championships.

Ava started out her riding career with the Sinnington Pony club competing at Champioship level on more than one occasion.
She then moved on to British Dressage. North and East Youth.
With her Lilling bred mare, Scarlet Fire, she has represented the North and East. Riding at both Regional and National level.

Ava has competed at championship level in Pet Plan and Regional Dressage Competitions usually finishing in the top 10.

Recently she has been fortunate to be selected as one out of 12 to attend the British Dressage National Academy.
